SAMPLE ESL teaching jobs from our clients

CHINA

Airfare: One-way air ticket will be reimbursed after 6 months teaching service by the host school. An airline ticket home or equivalent in RMB provided after successful completion of a one-year contract.
Your tourist visa will be changed to a work visa by the host school with in 30-60 days of arrival in China 3 month probation to bind contract.

ESL Positions Available in China

There are continually 100’s of jobs in China for ESL teachers.
OverseasEmployment.ca receives weekly updates of positions in China. We have representatives in Shandong Province that are there to help you through cultural communication problems as you get settled in your new school. Our greatest percentage of positions come available in that province however, we do get openings from all over mainland China on a regular basis.

We deal with kindergarten, elementary, junior and senior high schools in China. International and private Language schools needing instructors to teach all ages and levels of the English language. We also receive positions at the University and college levels.
Your personal education/experience and the foreign schools requirements will decide the proper match of school and teacher.

** Requirement: Must be a native-born English speaker. **

• Education: No degree is required in many locations. A degree or an ESL/TESOL/TECOL type certificate will get you a higher salary. An ESL Teacher/TESOL 'Type' certificate is recommended in any ESL position.
• Hours: 16 to 25 hours teaching time per week (overtime paid if need be)
• Wages: 3,500 to 6,000 RMB / Month
• Accommodations: A private furnished comfortable room with a washroom (if meals are included by the school) or a self contained furnished comfortable apartment is provided at no cost.
• Contract: 1 year
• Airfare: After 6 months of service, the host school will reimburse the cost of your one-way ticket to China. Upon successful completion of your one-year contract the host school will provide your ticket home or equivalent in RMB. If you purchased a two way open ended ticket to China yourself, 50% of the cost will be refunded to you after 6 months teaching, and the rest will be paid at the end of your one-year contract.
• Medical Insurance: 1000 plus rmb towards Doctor/medical costs if needed.
• Benefits: There can be opportunities to make part-time cash income if you desire.
• Pick-up and transportation to and from the airport provided once you're in China.

KOREA

We have positions continually coming available in and around the capital city of Seoul, South Korea is some what seasonal, there a higher volume of positions when the Korean schools are preparing for their new school years and semesters. In exception, replacement teachers are continually being sought after. A university degree is one basic Korean requirement in all ESL teaching positions. Salaries range starting 1,900,000 to 2,100,000 won / Monthly.
Airfare paid in advance, and work visa provided.
Processing time, after official hiring is about 3-6 weeks.
Medical insurance and studio accommodations provided.

JAPAN

• Location: Nagakute-cho, Aichi-gun, Aichi Japan
• Title of position: Preschool Teachers
• Salary: \250,000 yen/month, \3,000,000 yen/year (less income tax deductions)
• Contract information: Length: 1 year, Renewable
• Prefer someone who can stay more than one year.
• Inquiries should include: CV/resume, diploma(s), a letter of introduction, Photo, Teaching certification(s), Transcripts, Video/Audio Tape, 2 Letters of recommendation
• Hours/week: 38 hours including teaching and office working, excluding commuting hours. Every other Saturday and every Sunday off.
• Monday to Friday: 9:00-17:00 (School closes at 2:30 p.m.)
• Every other Saturday: 9:30-14:30
• Teaching, develop curricula and educational materials, attend meetings, make class-reports, and participate in cultural events.
• Special skills/requirements: native English speakers as a teacher.
• Some understanding of Japanese preferred.
